  Tina Karakourtis, owner of Tina's Closet, a Lisle store that specializes in bras and bra fittings, as well as customized swimwear, evening wear, and lingerie will be celebrating her 20th year in business this month. Customers from all over the world come to Tina for the perfect fitting bra, which is why some affectionately call her the "Doctor of Boobs".
  When you enter the store, you'll often see Tina bustling around, tape measure around her neck, helping multiple customers. Given her 20 years experience, although she relies on the measurements she takes, she can almost look at someone and know exactly what will be best for them.
  "For me it's all about communication. I listen to what the customer says and I'm not afraid to be brutally honest. No one works on commission here. I'm not going to sell you something that I don't think fits you perfectly. She adds,
  "When you go to a chain to buy a bra, you're typically not measured properly, given the wrong size or the closest one they have. I pride myself on finding exactly the right bra for each customer."
  Tina's retail background began in selling maternity clothing. She became frustrated trying to fit clothes accurately on pregnant women given most of their problem was that their expanding busts weren't fitting in the clothes well. By getting the breasts where they were supposed to be, the clothes fit better. She continued this talent and self taught herself the science of good bra fitting, learning from trial and error, and 20 years later, voila!
  The daughter of hard-working Polish immigrants -her father an engineer, her mother a seamstress, Tina learned early on the value of hard work. She attributes most of her success to the strong work ethic she received from her loving parents as well as her husband who supported her decision to open Tina's Closet from day 1.
  Why are a good bra and a good bra fitting so important? "A good bra enhances your look, it makes you more comfortable, it lasts longer, and most importantly, it enhances your self esteem". Tina adds, "I'm completely dedicated to caring for my customers -you have to be when you own your own business. I'm here every day and oversee it all so that my customers leave feeling like they're in the best bra they've ever had."
